Job Summary
Job Description: CMDB Administrator (L3) Job Title: CMDB Administrator – L3 Department: IT Service Management / Configuration Management Experience: 10–14 years Role Summary: Responsible for leading CMDB governance, ensuring data accuracy, and driving configuration management processes aligned with ITIL standards. The role includes ownership of CMDB strategy, audits, stakeholder management, and continuous service improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Own and govern the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). • Define and maintain CMDB strategy, roadmap, and improvement plans. • Manage Configuration Items (CIs), relationships, and lifecycle accuracy. • Lead Configuration Control Board (CCB) and approve changes. • Conduct CMDB audits and ensure compliance with policies and standards. • Drive integration with ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release). • Ensure data quality, completeness, and integrity of CMDB records. • Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Security, and Application teams. • Define metrics, KPIs, and reporting dashboards for CMDB performance. • Manage access control, roles, and security of CMDB systems. • Mentor junior resources and lead process improvement initiatives. Skills & Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of ITIL (Configuration & Asset Management). • Experience with CMDB tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.). • Understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and dependencies. • Knowledge of data governance, data modeling, and lifecycle management. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent stakeholder and communication skills.
