Job Summary
Senior Windows Azure IaaS Administrator responsible for day-to-day operations, support, and administration of Windows-based infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L2/L2.5 operational support for Windows Server environments on Azure IaaS Perform provisioning, administration, and lifecycle management of Azure VMs using ARM/Terraform-based templates Handle incident, service request, and problem management activities within SLA/OLA Perform patching, backup verification, monitoring, and performance tuning for Windows workloads Support Azure networking components (VNETs, NSGs, subnets, routing) from an operations perspective Execute standard changes and support approved non-standard changes under CAB guidance Troubleshoot OS-level, Azure platform, and connectivity issues for Windows servers Ensure compliance with hardening baselines, security policies, and audit requirements Contribute to automation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation Support DR drills, failover activities, and service continuity requirements Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Security, Network, and Application teams as part of BAU operations
Skill Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022) Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS Azure VMs, Managed Disks Resource Groups, Subscriptions VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers (ops-level) Experience using Terraform for provisioning and managing Azure resources (execution, troubleshooting, state awareness) Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Request) Experience with monitoring and backup tools (Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, or equivalent) PowerShell scripting for administrative and operational tasks
Other Requirements
Ability to work in 24x7 support environments (shifts/on-call as required) Strong documentation and communication skills for customer and audit interactions Proven ability to follow standard procedures and governance processes Team-oriented mindset with ownership of assigned services and tasks Experience working in multi-customer, multi-stakeholder engagements Relevant Microsoft Azure certification (preferred but not mandatory)
