Job Summary

Primary :

  • Data Engineering & Analytics
  • Background in data engineering concepts, pipelines, and data quality practices.
  • Working knowledge of Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) and Cosmos DB, including query patterns and data modeling.
  • Experience validating datasets, performing thorough self-reviews, and ensuring the reasonableness and integrity of results.
  • Familiarity with data cleaning, processing, and preparing datasets for downstream use (e.g., analytics, reporting, dashboards).
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools to support analysis and executive reporting is a plus
  • Software Engineering & Production Readiness
  • Strong understanding of modern software development lifecycles and code promotion to production.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and release management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security, privacy, and compliance reviews required to ship production software.
  • Experience working with source control (e.g., Git) and managing multiple source controlled assets with a focus on auditability, code quality, and minimizing technical debt.
  • Ability to operate effectively within established engineering governance and quality standards.

Secondary:

  • AI & Prompt Engineering
  • practical experience working with AI systems from a prompt engineering perspective.
  • Ability to design, test, and iterate prompts to drive reliable, repeatable, and scalable outcomes.
  • Comfort integrating AI-driven workflows into broader software and data engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain powerbi reports and dashboards to visualize data effectively.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Optimize sql queries and database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval.
4. Design and implement etl processes to extract, transform, and load data into the powerbi environment.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to powerbi and sql.
6. Stay updated on latest trends and best practices in powerbi and sql to enhance data analytics capabilities.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in microsoft powerbi to design and develop interactive visualizations.
2. Strong command of sql for querying and managing relational databases.
3. Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
4. Ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
5. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams.
6. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
7. Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
