Job Summary

n experienced L3 Network Data Engineer (LAN/WAN) to lead advanced troubleshooting, incident restoration, problem management, and proactive optimization of enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and routing/switching environments. This role provides Tier-3 escalation support, owns complex technical issues end-to-end, drives root cause analysis (RCA), implements network changes, and ensures high availability, performance, and security of the network infrastructure across data centers, campuses, and remote sites.

Key Responsibilities

L3 Operations & Escalation Support\r\n\r\nProvide Tier-3 (L3) escalation for LAN/WAN incidents, including major incidents (P1/P2); restore service within SLA and lead technical bridges when required.\r\nPerform advanced troubleshooting across:\r\n\r\nRouting: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP (where applicable), route redistribution, policy-based routing\r\nSwitching: VLANs, STP/RSTP/MST, LACP, trunking, port-security\r\nWAN/SD-WAN: MPLS, Internet VPN, DIA, SD-WAN overlays/underlays, path selection\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport and tune QoS for voice/video/business-critical apps (classification, marking, queuing, shaping/policing).\r\nEnsure network stability by identifying recurring patterns and driving permanent fixes.

Skill Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with enterprise LAN & WAN operations and troubleshooting.\r\nDeep understanding of:\r\n\r\nTCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), switching fundamentals (STP/VLAN/LACP)\r\nWAN technologies: MPLS, IPsec VPN, GRE, DMVPN (if applicable), Internet edge routing\r\nSD-WAN concepts: overlay/underlay, controller/orchestrator operations, policy/routing\r\nQoS and traffic engineering\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with network platforms such as:\r\n\r\nCisco (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR, WLC), Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware NSX (any relevant mix)\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong knowledge of operational processes:\r\n\r\nIncident/Problem/Change Management (ITIL), RCA, post-incident review
