Data Center Consultant/Manager (f/m/d)

Overview:

As a Data Center Consultant/Manager, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data center solutions for our clients. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to assess client needs, develop innovative strategies, and deliver high-quality solutions that enhance operational efficiency, security, and scalability.

Your job:

  • Conduct in-depth assessments of client data center environments, data center design, facilities, operations, security and risks
  • Design data center operational standards and procedures like inventory management, tape management, cabling guidelines, DCIM, DC security controls, facilities audit, material handling etc.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Manage the global datacenter operations
  • Coordinate with Regional Colo leads, Client and Colo Providers for demand forecasting and capacity planning
  • Oversee the implementation of data center build and maintenance, including ongoing transformations and handover to operations
  • Coordinate with vendors and technical teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of critical projects / milestones.
  • Ensure Datacenter ongoing build/maintenance/cabling as per Client’s minimum Technical Data center requirements contractual documents.

Your profile:

  • Strong prior hands-on 8-10 years DC Operations experience as Global Data center Manager governing and managing 24x7 SLA based Tier 3/Tier 4 Colo Enterprise class geographically distributed Datacenters/Colo DCs
  • Excellent understanding of Datacenter N+1/2N redundancy architecture at Power, Cooling, HVAC system, generator, UPS level, network carrier, hot/cold aisle containment and fire/safety compliance/code standards
  • Strong global DC Ops/ Smart hands team management skills
  • Strong experience interfacing with Vendors/Partners and Colo providers.
  • Experience working in highly regulated financial service vertical a plus.
  • Management Professional (CDCMP)/ Certified Datacenter Design Professional (CDCDP)/Accredited Tier Professional (ATP) or equivalent
  • Datacenter facilities/Operations engineering or equivalent educational background preferred.
  • Expertise with data center management tools (DCIM). Preferably RiT Xpedite
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
