Job Summary
seeking a highly skilled L2 Support Engineer to support the Siemens Industrial Edge Management (IEM) platform for a leading global automotive client. The role involves providing 24x7 production support, troubleshooting Kubernetes, Linux, and network-related issues, and ensuring platform stability in a manufacturing (OT) environment. This is a business critical role supporting plant operations and production continuity. As a Subject Matter Expert in Support & Operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely resolution of escalated incidents while adhering to quality standards. Your expertise in Kubernetes and Terraform will guide the team in optimizing operations, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining effective communication across business units.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Production & Incident Support • Provide Level 2 support for IEM platform incidents via ServiceNow • Perform incident triage, troubleshooting, and resolution within SLA timelines • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions • Manage incident prioritization based on business and production impact Technical Troubleshooting • Diagnose and resolve issues across: o Kubernetes clusters and deployments o Linux-based environments (RHEL/Ubuntu) o Network connectivity and integrations • Analyze logs, system performance, and alerts for proactive issue resolution Production-Critical Support • Support emergency deployments and fixes impacting manufacturing operations • Handle critical incidents where IEM availability impacts production • Ensure minimal downtime and business continuity Collaboration & Escalation • Work closely with: o Ford Engineering (L3 support) o Manufacturing / OT teams • Follow defined escalation procedures for complex issues • Contribute to knowledge base (KB) and documentation 1. Ensure Timely Resolution And Quality Compliance Of Escalated Tickets And Incidents Using Kubernetes And Terraform, Adhering To Agreed Slas.
2. Mentor Team Members And Administrators In Best Practices For Kubernetes And Terraform, Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (Sops), And Maintain Effective Documentation To Enhance Operational Efficiency.
3. Validate Change Order Implementation Plans And Ensure Human Error Compliance While Participating In Capacity Planning Activities Using Aws Cloud Formation And Eks.
4. Actively Participate In Customer Meetings To Understand Issues Faced, Ensuring Positive Customer Feedback And Satisfaction Through Effective Communication And Problem-Solving.
5. Validate Root Cause And Trend Analyses Using Aws Paas Tools And Present Reports To Key Business Stakeholders To Facilitate Performance Improvements In Operations.
Skill Requirements
Strong hands-on experience in: o Kubernetes (troubleshooting, deployments, pods, clusters) o Linux Administration (OS, file systems, performance, patching) o Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, connectivity) • Experience in: o Production / L2 support environments o Incident management tools (ServiceNow preferred) o Log analysis and troubleshooting 1. Strong Understanding Of Kubernetes And Terraform With Practical Application In Incident Resolution
2. Proficiency In Aws Cloud Formation, Eks, And Linux Environments
3. Solid Knowledge Of Support Processes And Service Level Agreements (Slas)
