Job Summary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Information Management & Safety Compliance • Ensure all safety-related information systems comply with the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996, South African Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 (OHS Act) and relevant regulations. • Maintain and manage safety data repositories, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. • Implement and enforce IM governance frameworks aligned with legal and organisational safety requirements. • Ensure compliance with reporting obligations to regulatory bodies such as the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE). • Monitor adherence to mandatory codes of practice (MCOPs) related to health and safety data. Safety Data Governance • Develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for safety information management. • Ensure proper classification, storage, and retention of safety records in line with MHSA & OSHA legal requirements. • Manage document control for safety procedures, incident reports, and risk assessments. • Ensure audit trails and traceability of safety-critical data. Incident Reporting & Analysis • Oversee the collection, validation, and reporting of safety incidents, accidents, and near misses. • Ensure reporting timelines meet regulatory requirements (e.g. Section 11 and Section 22 of MHSA obligations). • Support root cause analysis and maintain records of corrective and preventive actions. • Generate regular safety performance reports and dashboards. Risk Management & Compliance Monitoring • Identify risks related to safety data integrity, availability, and security. • Support risk assessments and hazard identification processes (HIRA). • Monitor compliance with safety systems and escalate non-compliance. • Assist in internal and external audits related to safety and information management. Systems & Integration • Support the implementation and maintenance of safety management systems (SMS). • Validate system outputs for regulatory and operational reporting. • Work with IT teams to ensure system security and data protection for safety information. Training & Awareness • Provide training to employees on safety data systems and reporting procedures. • Promote a culture of safety compliance and accurate reporting across the organisation. • Support awareness initiatives related to MHSA compliance and safety information handling.

Key Responsibilities

1. To ensure generation of tower level EE & EN revenue
2. To ensure that all responsibilities, tasks and escalations/crisis are closed as per agreed SLA norms
3. To oversee Operational Hygiene, validate reports and ensure that services are provided as per agreed SOW
4. To promote positive customer satisfaction and develop new initiatives/ frameworks to improve the same
5. To oversee and implement Profit Improvement Plan (PIP) through levers like Automation & self-driven initiatives     Â
