Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Robot Wrangler Specialist to serve as the backbone of our lab operations and robotics research. This role is highly hands-on and requires expertise in daily setup, hardware maintenance, and precise data collection. You will bridge the gap between technical maintenance and experimental execution by focusing on expert teleoperation and meticulous data gathering to ensure our research fleet yields clean, reliable results

Teleoperation and Data Collection: Execute complex manipulation tasks using VR headsets and remote-control interfaces. You will focus on generating high-quality datasets that accurately represent robot performance.
Operations and Setup: Manage daily robot preparation, including battery changes and hardware checks, to ensure robots are ready for experimental runs.
Technical Maintenance: Maintain hardware and software configurations for the robot fleet. You will troubleshoot, report, and resolve issues relating to robotic performance or test results.
Standardization and Documentation: Create and refine internal operating procedures to standardize lab workflows. You will also coordinate with researchers and engineers to assist with collaborative projects and daily lab experiments.
Team Collaboration: Communicate seamlessly with engineers, managers, and fellow wranglers to ensure a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Skill Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Linux environments and operating systems.
Specialized Experience: Prior experience with AR/VR systems, remote control operations, or meticulous data collection is preferred; however, a strong willingness to learn and adapt to these technologies is just as valuable.
Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift up to 25 lbs (specifically handling robot batteries), physically move robots through everyday tasks, and sit or stand for extended periods during data collection.
Work Environment Comfort: Ability to work in close proximity to robots and wear VR headsets for long durations.
Attention to Detail: Excellent observation and documentation skills with a sharp eye for identifying hardware or software deviations.
Soft Skills: Strong listening skills with the ability to learn new tasks quickly, follow precise instructions, and operate effectively within a quota-driven environment.
Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively coordinate within a high-speed research setting.

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
