- Role Overview
- Responsible for developing automated validation tests for Power Platform solutions and automation scripts to ensure reliability, stability, and correct behavior during migrations and deployment processes.
- Core Technical Competencies (Required)
- Test Automation (PowerShell / BDD)
- Pester Framework expertise for PowerShell test automation.
- Experience structuring tests using BDD concepts (Given / When / Then) mapped to Pester test structures.
- Ability to create unit and integration tests for automation scripts.
- API Testing & Validation
- Strong PowerShell scripting for test setup, teardown, and payload validation.
- Experience testing REST APIs using OAuth 2.0 authentication and Service Principals.
- Validation of responses from:
- Dataverse Web API
- Power Platform Admin APIs
- Mocking & Test Simulation
- Experience using Pester Mock functionality to simulate API responses.
- Ability to test scenarios such as API throttling, retries, and failure handling without impacting production environments.
- Azure Infrastructure Validation
- Azure SQL queries to validate execution state changes.
- Azure Blob Storage validation to confirm artifacts such as exported solution packages or discovery outputs were successfully generated.
- CI/CD Integration (Azure DevOps)
- Integration of automated test execution within Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
- Publishing test results using NUnit / JUnit formats via Azure DevOps test reporting.
- Secure handling of environment variables and secrets via Azure Key Vault.
- Test Automation (PowerShell / BDD)
