Job Summary
The Senior Technical Lead in GCP Application Development is responsible for leading the technical aspects of application development projects on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves providing expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining applications on GCP to meet business requirements and drive innovation.
Job Description.
Looking for an engineer with 3-6 years of experience in Cloud (GCP preferred)/ Data Platform / DevOps / Managed Services operations. Knowledge of Compute, networking basics, IAM, Understanding of cloud‑based data pipelines such as Streaming / ingestion concepts, Lag, throughput, replication basics. Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog or equivalent with Awareness of SLA / SLO / MTTR. Also 24×7 support experience, P0 / P1 / P2 severity handling, Runbooks and SOPs with Clear communication during incidents. Handling L1 members and guiding them.
Primary Skill (Technical):
Advanced troubleshooting, operational execution, and technical ownership under defined guidelines
Strong understanding of data pipeline operations
Striim platform infrastructure operations such as Deployment and configuration of Striim clusters in GCP, Patch management and security updates and Break-fix support.
Hands‑on experience with Pipeline updates and validations
Environment promotions (Dev → QA → Pre‑Prod → Prod)
Platform familiarity:
Spanner, Bigtable (hotspot & throughput awareness)
Cloud SQL / AlloyDB (ops‑level tuning)
Change management & production readiness checks
Basics Linux fundamentals and shell basics for diagnosis
Secondary Skills:
Continuous monitoring across Dev, Pre-Prod & Production (Datadog)
Incident Management (Alert triage, runbooks execution, escalation to SME)
Data pipeline monitoring (Pipeline updates, testing and validation, environmental promotions)
SOP / Runbook execution
Lead P1/P0 incident resolution
Perform RCA and contribute to post‑mortems
Coordinate with SMEs and engineering teams
Validate fixes and stability post‑incident
Striim Platform Infrastructure Operation (Deployment and configuration of clusters, auto-scaling support and Break-fix support)
Target System Performance Tuning
Maintain operational documentation (SOPs, runbooks) and participate in incident reviews and post mortems.

Mandatory:
Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) certification
Key Responsibilities
2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define technical solutions and architecture for gcp projects.
3. Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and provide technical guidance to the development team.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to gcp application development.
5. Stay updated on the latest gcp services, features, and best practices to optimize application performance.
6. Implement security measures and compliance standards in gcp applications.
7. Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Skill Requirements
2. Experience with programming languages like python, java, or node.js for gcp application development.
3. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containers, and container orchestration tools like kubernetes on gcp.
4. Handson experience in designing and implementing restful apis and integrating third-party services on gcp.
5. Knowledge of ci/cd pipelines, automation tools, and infrastructure as code (iac) on gcp.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
7. Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders, present technical solutions, and lead discussions on gcp application development strategies.
