Your Mission As a Senior Structural Engineer, you are crucial to the reliability and performance of our spacecraft products. You are responsible for the complete structural cycle of our Solar Arrays: Structural Design: You design and optimize very lightweight, yet stiff and strong structures for solar panels that must withstand the extreme forces of launch and the conditions of space. Dynamic Analysis: You perform complex dynamic, thermal, and strength calculations (FEA/FEM), specifically focused on the deployment and operation of large, foldable Solar Arrays. Materials Science: You select and validate advanced materials (composites, honeycomb structures) to maximize weight savings and thermal stability. Validation & Testing: You are involved in setting up and analyzing results of mechanical tests on subcomponents and complete arrays. What You Bring You are a technical thinker who has proven success in the high-reliability environment of aerospace or similar sectors. A completed MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering (with a specialization in structures). Extensive and demonstrable experience (minimum 5 years) as a Structural Engineer focused on satellite or space systems (crucial). Deep expertise in the structural design of Solar Arrays, antennas, or other foldable, lightweight space mechanisms. Highly skilled in Finite Element Analysis (FEA/FEM) using leading software.
