At TotaLite, we transform asset monitoring with cutting‑edge optical sensor technology that detects structural displacements with millimetre precision from distances of up to 100–160 metres. As Operations Manager, you take full ownership of the operational engine that will scale TotaLite from 50 devices today to thousands by 2028. You lead the operations team, oversee our hardware supply chain, and manage all vendor partnerships. You’ll introduce lean, efficient processes, create crisp and accessible documentation, and build structured archiving systems that help new team members get up to speed quickly. Working closely with our Managing Director and Head of Product, you shape how we operate at every level. You don’t just run operations, you build the operational excellence that powers our growth.
Your role
You lead and scale the operations team with Support Engineer, the Hardware Project Manager, Hardware Support, you set goals, provide coaching, and foster culture of excellence;
You own end-to-end supply chain: manage hardware sourcing, inventory levels, lead times, and quality control, and optimise costs without compromising reliability;
You manage all vendor relationships: negotiate contracts, monitor performance, ensure value delivery from suppliers and service providers;
You build scalable operational infrastructure: create lean documentation and procedures at "staccato level", implement clean archiving structures, build systems enabling growth;
You act as feedback loop to product: identify recurring operational issues, suggest improvements, participate in testing new processes;
You ensure operational excellence: monitor key metrics, drive improvements in delivery times and quality, resolve issues proactively, ensure seamless customer experiences.
Your track record
You have 5+ years of operations management experience in hardware, manufacturing, or tech companies, with a track record of scaling,not just maintaining, operations;
You possess strong supply‑chain expertise, including vendor relationships, inventory management, quality control, and hardware logistics;
You have proven leadership experience hiring, developing, and managing high‑performing teams in fast‑growth environments;
You hold excellent process‑design skills: able to build scalable, lean systems with the right balance between documentation and execution;
You are highly organised, detail‑oriented, customer‑focused, and fluent in English (Dutch a plus), with bonus value in sensors/instrumentation, B2B technical operations, or lean/Six Sigma.
