For one of our startups, TotaLite, we are looking for a new colleague to join the team in Nootdorp as a Business Developer.

At TotaLite, we lead the change in asset monitoring, revolutionising how we observe real-time displacements in essential infrastructure. With cutting-edge optical sensor technology, we can detect structural displacements with millimeter precision from up to 160 meters away and with this we are setting new standards.

As a Business Developer you are responsible for promoting this new technology, attracting more leads, converting them into customers and managing relations with existing customers. You are in touch with monitoring experts, surveyors, engineers and asset owners and convince them on the value of TotaLite. You understand the challenging environment where our customers must operate and can relate to both the technicians and the project managers.

Your role

• You research the market and customer needs, and explore new market segments and prospects for new leads;

• You lead generation through outbound sales activities including presence at trade fairs;

• You manage a portfolio of existing customers, increase customer retention and up- and cross-sell;

• You empower customer success by proactively advising our customers on the use of TotaLite, train them and perform regular check-ins, incl. interpreting the data and providing data insights to the customer;

• You support and provide input to marketing activities;

• You share product input based on customer feedback.

Your track record

• You hold a BSc degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Physics, Business or similar) and have a min of 3+ years working experience in a commercial role;

• You have strong analytical skills, customer-focus and a natural ability to connect & build relationships;

• Ideally you are experienced in construction, engineering, or other technical industries or alternatively have a strong interest in these areas;

• You can work well alongside peers, colleagues and partners to impact positively on business performance;

• You are fluent in English (Dutch, German, French or Spanish is a plus);

• You have a drive to change the industry in a dynamic startup, an innovative approach and always strive for operational excellence in all goals.
