Internship Legal & Compliance: Speak Up
Fugro
Job Description
Are you a Master’s student in Law, Criminology, Forensic Psychology, or Organizational Sciences with a strong interest in integrity, investigations, or workplace behaviour? Join Fugro’s Global Compliance team and gain hands-on experience shaping our internal Speak Up process—how we handle concerns, ensure fairness, and build trust.
Fugro is the world’s leading Geo-data specialist, committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly. Our Code of Conduct and Speak Up procedure help us live our values in practice. As part of our team, you’ll support our efforts to further mature and future-proof the Speak Up program.
What you’ll do
You’ll be part of the team that manages how people inside Fugro raise concerns — about things like unethical behavior, or misconduct — and how those concerns are followed up. This is called our “Speak Up” process. During your internship, you’ll help us strengthen that process by working on things like:
Looking at how our current way of handling internal concerns compares to legal requirements and good practice;
Helping map out each step in the process (Who does what? When? What tools do we use?) and spotting areas we can improve;
Supporting the move to a new case management system — helping design how it works, what templates we use, and how we make it user-friendly;
Helping us define smart, simple ways to measure whether our Speak Up program is working well (like metrics and KPIs);
If time and interest allow: set up awareness projects, or helping us review how other channels (like complaints forms or confidential advisors) connect to the Speak Up system.
Who we’re looking for
A student in the final phase of a Master’s in Law, Compliance, Criminology, Forensic or Organizational Psychology, or a similar field;
Proactive, thoughtful, and comfortable working across teams and topics;
Fluent in English; available at least 3 days per week for 3–6 months.
What we offer
A fixed monthly internship allowance;
A company laptop and flexible hybrid working options;
Mentorship from experienced professionals in a collaborative team;
An opportunity to contribute to a high-impact compliance topic in a global company.
