Director Positioning & Construction Support

For our headquarters in the Netherlands, we are seeking a seasoned Director Positioning & Construction to drive the development and delivery of a Global strategy allowing Fugro to obtain and maintain a leading position in the market.

As the Director Positioning & Construction Support at Fugro, you are responsible for spearheading the development of business growth strategy and the delivery of cutting-edge geospatial product and solutions. Your role focuses on enhancing Fugro’s international presence and ensuring that our positioning services are synonymous with excellence, innovation, and sustainability worldwide.

As a leader in Geo-risk solutions, we invite you to step into the role of Director Positioning & Construction based in the Netherlands. This position is tailored for those who have honed their skills in industry roles such as Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Senior Project Director, and Construction Manager.

Your role:

• You craft and execute a global strategy for positioning and construction solutions that leverages Fugro’s technological advancements and aligns with our vision of shaping a safe and sustainable world;
• You manage and sync our operational execution strategy, based on identified client needs to ensure cohesive work.
• You drive business growth by identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities, managing strategic partnerships, and fostering client relationships on a global scale;
• You explore effective commercial models and pricing strategies that cater to diverse international markets, optimizing Fugro’s global financial performance;
• You guarantee the consistent delivery of high-quality services, maintaining Fugro’s reputation for operational excellence and safety in all global markets;
• You align global solutions with Fugro’s commitment to addressing climate change and promoting sustainable infrastructure development;
• You ensure that all positioning and construction solutions are at the forefront of technological innovation, aligning with the latest advancements and anticipating future technological trends to keep Fugro ahead of the curve;
• You will be expected to support and guide the team of regional service line managers

Your track record

• You have a MSc. or BSc. degree in an industry associated discipline and significant experience as a Senior Project Director, Operations Manager or Construction manager (5+ years);
• You have an in depth understanding of Marine Construction support and Positioning related services and technology;
• You have the ability to clearly define roles, responsibilities & accountabilities for decision making hierarchies and to establish controls, approvals and monitoring for compliance;
• You are reliable, efficient and you have a systematic approach with a competitive attitude;
• A consistent track record of effective leadership coupled with commercial strategy and P&L responsibilities;
• Excellent communication skills in English, encompassing both verbal and written proficiency.
