For our GNSS innovation team, we are looking for a strong Quality Assurance Engineer. At Fugro, we readily tap into the potential of our global network of reference stations, monitoring satellite signals and correcting their accuracy. Why? As our QA engineer, you will be crucial in the implementation and maintenance of the QA oriented workflows. You work closely with the global QA manager to ensure a high standard quality framework and translate this to local needs. As part of the QA processes, you drive user acceptance testing initiatives. You add value to the innovation team by making sure our projects run properly, formulate requirements and follow our in-house Idea2Value process.
You are the ideal candidate if you are a self-starter who is curious to explore new fields. A dynamic team consisting of multiple nationalities is ready to take the next step with your help.
Your role
You function as a regional point of contact to the QA Manager;
You are responsible for the acceptance and operational readiness testing where you translate user requirements into technical specifications and these into acceptance tests, planning and reporting on test campaigns;
You define work packages, milestones and user stories based on user requirements in collaboration with Product Managers;
You maintain a prioritized product backlog;
You oversee the processes of identification, documentation, and tracking of software defects and issues;
You refine and oversee the implementation of these together with the development teams in an Agile framework;
You report on progress and completion of software development milestones;
You actively participate in improving business processes and business systems used for software development.
Your track record
You have at least 5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance or software product management;
You display a solid understanding of software QA methodologies and tools;
Excellent communication skills in English;
Experience in working with remote teams is a plus;
Working with Atlassian Jira is a plus;
Knowledge of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) is a plus.
