Job Title: Principal DFIR Consultant
Job Purpose
leadership by example, a recognized subject matter expert in the field both internally but also externally. This results in the fact that Fox-IT is and stays known for their expertise. Also, marketing gets a boost because Principals are delivering (input and initiatives for) external exposure such as blogs, podcasts, interviews, etc.
Furthermore, Principals make sure that quality of the work stays high by providing input to others and reviewing other peoples work. Principals coach and teach people internally, provide input to management, and make sure knowledge gaps are being spotted and filled.
Principals typically are defined not to be restricted to knowledge of their own discipline. A principal consultant is building bridges between their own and teams by connecting to other business lines, making sure they deliver the right expertise to add quality to other disciplines and spreading their knowledge wider across the company.
Key Accountabilities
Coaching and developing your project teams to a next level during cases (leadership by example, not just individual coaching)
Have a strategic business impact on clients during and after cases (this goes well beyond handover to sales; you need to empower Fox-IT to become a trusted advisor on C-level);
Successfully demonstrate overall leadership on the largest projects.
Consistently displaying behavior that forces change in a positive way.
Responsibility goes well beyond just identifying problems and opportunities. We want to see a highly independent, proactive, positive, persistent and above all inspiring approach to motivate people, overcome any obstacles and make structural improvements with strategic business impact happen.
It is important to realize that (unlike growth from junior to medior to senior) qualifying for principal is not a matter or 'ticking the boxes'. There is no default recipe. If you want to achieve principal level, we expect you to take full responsibility to draw and execute your own plan to make a long-lasting strategic impact on our business.
Functional & Technical Skills
Technical knowledge of at least a few areas of the field
Project management skills for the largest client projects
Coaching/teaching skills
Focus on external knowledge sharing (SME) or internal quality control
Innovation mindset
(pre-)Sales skills
Presentation skills for external presentations
Desirable Requirements
External people network with broad types of connections
More technical in depth knowledge of multiple areas, obtained through advanced work experience
Ability to communicate with senior leadership (internal and external) regarding impact of strategic decisions on rest of organization
Required to influence internal and external parties to accept concepts, practices and approaches of the job area where there is unwillingness or skepticism
