Your Role

FMO is strengthening its Agile Operating Model to ensure that technology delivery is predictable, effective and aligned with strategic priorities.

FMO operates in a dual delivery model, where Agile domains and teams operate alongside more traditional project-based delivery and governance.

To support this, we are looking for a Principal Agile Coach who plays a central role in designing, governing and continuously improving the Agile Operating Model, while ensuring alignment at the intersection with project-based delivery.

This role combines system-level design with hands-on enablement, ensuring that ways of working are not only defined but also adopted and effective in practice.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Evolve the Agile Operating Model across domains, in line with FMO’s organizational goals
  • Define and maintain clear guardrails for ways of working and delivery
  • Prepare decision-making for governance and leadership
  • Identify and resolve recurring structural and cross-domain issues in close collaboration with (Senior) Product Owners, Scrum Masters and teams
  • Improve flow, predictability, and delivery performance across domains
  • Use data and insights to highlight bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure adoption of operating model changes in practice
  • Enable effective collaboration and alignment between Product Owners, Scrum Masters, teams and leadership to address cross-domain challenges

Our Offer

  • We offer meaningful and impactful work in an international work environment
  • Gross yearly salary of between EUR 110K – 120K (including holiday allowance and 13th month), depending on seniority, years of experience and background.
  • Premium free pension.
  • 31 holidays.
  • Option to work remotely abroad for up to 60 days in a rolling period of 12 months.
  • Hybrid way of working (50/50).
  • A 24/7 NS transport card and individual training budget.
  • Our beautiful work premise is located 5 minutes’ walk from the station Laan van NOI in The Hague.

Your Background

You combine strong analytical skills with a pragmatic mindset and can translate complex organizational challenges into clear, actionable improvements.
  • You have a strong focus on delivering value through better flow, predictability, and collaboration, and know how to balance structure with flexibility. You are comfortable operating in a complex stakeholder environment and are able to influence without formal authority.
