Your Role

Management Assistant (24 hours per week)

The Impact Department is looking for a Management Assistant to support the Manager of the Market Creation Financial Inclusion (MCFI) team and a team of approximately 10 colleagues. You will work closely with two other Management Assistants.

In this role, you provide high-quality administrative and organizational support that enables the team to operate effectively. You take initiative, think ahead, and proactively identify what is needed. You are solution-oriented, well-organized, and able to stay accurate and flexible, even under pressure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the Manager’s calendar and scheduling
  • Organize meetings for the Manager and team
  • Support preparation of team meeting agendas and track follow-up actions
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, including interview scheduling and travel arrangements for international candidates
  • Centralize and organize team information, improving efficiency (e.g. SharePoint)
  • Support onboarding of new colleagues (meetings, access, ICT, badges)
  • Arrange business travel (flights, hotels, visas)
  • Process travel expenses and invoices
  • Organize team events, offsites, and team-building activities
  • Support national and international events (internal and external)
  • Plan and coordinate external meetings and appointments
  • Welcome international clients and partners at the office

You ensure smooth day-to-day operations by anticipating needs and acting before issues arise. You handle confidential information with discretion and provide support to other Impact Department teams when needed.

Our Offer

  • Gross yearly salary of around EUR 50K - EUR 60K based on 40 hours (including holiday allowance and 13th month), depending on seniority, years of experience, and background.

Your Team

The Impact Department advances FMO’s impact contribution and creates value at our clients and in our markets. We achieve this by providing impact structuring advisory services for pipeline opportunities, transactions and to our portfolio, through developing entrepreneurial ecosystems and partnerships to deliver on FMO’s strategic market creation ambition, and by supporting value creation activities through Technical Assistance to our clients and future clients. Among other activities, the Department will seek to translate un-bankable opportunities into bankable projects and drive topics and models of the future to advance FMOs impact contribution.

Within the Impact department, there are four teams: MCFI, Market Creation Agribusiness, Food, Forestry and Energy (MC AFFEN), Technical Assistance (TA) and Sustainable Finance Advisory (SFA).

Your Background

Educational requirements and working experience.

  • HBO/ bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 5-10 years of relevant working experience in a similar role preferably within a financial institution or development organisation.
  • Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written). Dutch is a preference.
  • Solid experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMs, SharePoint and Viva.
  • Experience with complex administrative systems.

Good to know
  • This position is for 24 hours per week over a period of 7 months on an FMO contract.
  • Freelancers (ZZP) or candidates represented by recruitment agencies will not be considered.
  • A minimum of two days per week in the office is required.
