Are you looking for an internship where you can apply AI to real-world investment processes in a purpose-driven organisation? Join FMO’s Private Equity team and help us explore how AI can improve the way we work.
Your Role
FMO’s Private Equity department is exploring how AI can support tasks such as analysing reports, structuring information, and improving internal workflows.
As an intern, you will contribute to improving and scaling an internal AI assistant used by the team, with a focus on making outputs more reliable, practical, and useful in day-to-day work. You will work closely with investment professionals to understand how they operate and translate this into simple, working solutions.
You will work within FMO’s Microsoft-based environment (Copilot, SharePoint and Power Platform) to build practical solutions that integrate with existing workflows.
The internship combines hands-on development with applied problem-solving in a private equity environment.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Work with investment professionals to understand key workflows (e.g. analysing reports, internal documentation) and identify opportunities where AI can help
- Work with internal tools (e.g. Copilot, SharePoint) to retrieve, structure, and analyse information
- Explore how AI solutions can be integrated into existing tools and workflows used by the team
- Develop and test simple AI-based prototypes that support these workflows (document analysis, information retrieval)
- Improve how AI tools use internal data (e.g. linking outputs to relevant source documents) to ensure reliable and traceable outputs
- Design practical workflows or interfaces that can be used by analysts in their daily work
- Test solutions with users, gather feedback, and iterate towards more robust and user-friendly tools
- Support the broader adoption of these tools within the team.
Our Offer
- An internship allowance of 750 euros (based on a full-time, 40 hours/week scheduled, pro-rated on working hours/week)
- For more information see below
