For the Finance & Control team, we are looking for a Business Controller who combines attention to detail with a strong understanding of the bigger picture. In this role, you translate financial and non-financial data into clear insights and support management in well-informed decision-making.
You will be part of the Controlling team, which supports the Management and Supervisory Board by preparing management information, strategic plans and business cases. The team works closely with other departments and plays a key role in steering the organization.
In this role, you analyze performance, identify trends and explain outcomes in a clear and structured way. You are responsible for preparing insightful reports and contribute to the planning cycle. Alongside regular P&L and balance sheet activities, you are also involved in impact, portfolio and mobilization reporting.
Your responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly and quarterly reports and performing deep dives
- Supporting budgeting and long-term planning
- Reporting on financials as well as impact metrics, such as SDG contributions
- Further developing mobilization reporting in line with MDB and OECD methodologies
You also act as a point of contact for questions on definitions, methodologies and interpretation of figures. You work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Strategy, Risk, Treasury, Impact and Investment teams. In doing so, you not only analyze and explain data, but also help drive improvements and strengthen financial steering within the organization.
Our Offer
For this position we offer you:

Gross yearly salary ranging from EUR 70-82K (based on 40 hours/ week, including 8% holiday allowance and 13th month) depending on your seniority, years of relevant experience, and background .

Hybrid way of working (50/50).

Working remotely abroad for maximum 60 days in a rolling period of 12 months.

Your Team
The Finance & Control team is part of the Finance, Integrated Reporting & Impact Measurement department. The team consists of ~20 professionals responsible for Accounting, Reporting, Controlling and Finance Transformation. Due to the international and diverse composition of the team, English is primarily used for day‑to‑day communication.
Your Background
- Marter’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, controlling or a similar field.
- 5+ years of experience in similar positions, preferably within financial services.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities and experience with effectively communicating data into insights to your stakeholders.
- An entrepreneurial and hands‑on mentality with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
- You are curious, ask questions and can take a helicopter view as well as diving into the details whether it is rules and regulations or financial and impact data.
- You are intrinsically eager to work in Finance and have affinity with the mission of FMO.
