Your role

About the Operations Department:

Our Operations department supports investment, treasury, procurement, and payment processes for our clients in developing markets. The team values diversity and inclusion, with over 50 colleagues from various backgrounds. The department includes a central Procurement team (responsible for Procurement, Know Your Supplier, and Accounts Payable/Receivable& Reconciliations (APR)) and sub-teams for Debt, Equity, Treasury Operations, and Quality & Improvements.

As part of the Accounts Payable and Receivable (APR), you will:

  • Process supplier invoices and employee expenses, including creditor creation & payment processing

  • Participate in month, quarter, and year-end closings and cost accrual bookings

  • Reconcile incoming and outgoing payments and identify possible unusual transactions

  • Contribute to improvement projects and system changes from a user perspective

Your team

Our mission is to enable entrepreneurs to increase inclusive and sustainable prosperity. A robust Operations department is vital to support investment, treasury, procurement, and payment processes. Our globally oriented organization actively operates in developing markets, reflecting our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The Operations department consists of more than 50 dedicated colleagues from many different nationalities and backgrounds. The department includes a central Procurement function with areas like Procurement, Know Your Supplier, and managing Accounts Payable/Receivable. Also, it has sub-teams responsible for Debt, Equity, Treasury Operations, and Quality & Improvements.

You will become part of the Accounts Payable and Receivable (APR) team. This team has 5 dedicated members who together deal with both accounts payable and receivable, as well as bank reconciliations. The team processes and pays all supplier invoices and employee expenses, and APR reconciles all incoming (client) payments. Constantly raising the bar, improving efficiency, and mitigating risk is high on the agenda of APR.

You have:

  • MBO/HBO diploma (Finance or Administration)

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, and experience with procure-to-pay processes and systems (preferably Broadridge, CODA, or Basware)

  • Excellent Dutch and English communication skills

  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite (incl. Office)

  • Cultural awareness from an international environment is an advantage
