Your role

The ICT Service Delivery team is responsible for managing and developing the FMO Digital Workplace. The Digital Workplace Engineer plays a crucial role in shaping the future of work within the organization by delivering intuitive and secure digital workplace solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration.

As a Digital Workplace Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and user-friendly digital workplace solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration across the organization. Primarily you will configure and maintain supporting platforms such Microsoft Purview, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure Cloud, and Intune. In addition, you will support audiovisual solutions for meeting rooms, while working closely with facilities, business teams, and external partners to ensure seamless digital experiences for all employees.

Experience with managing and supporting MS 365 productivity applications as well as MS Teams and SharePoint would be an advantage. This role is pivotal in supporting the transition to a fully cloud-managed workplace, leveraging modern Microsoft technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Workplace & Collaboration

· Configure and maintain supporting platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure Cloud, and Intune.

· Design, implement, and support AV solutions for meeting rooms, including hardware setup, software integration, and troubleshooting.

· Ensure digital workplace solutions meet security, compliance, and usability standards.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver user-centric solutions.

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation of workplace processes.

· Optional: Manage and support Microsoft 365 productivity applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive)

· Optional: Administer and optimize Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for communication and collaboration optional

Endpoint Management & Security

· Manage and maintain Intune configuration policies, applications, and remediation scripts. Implement and monitor Endpoint Privileged Management and Conditional Access policies.

· Ensure compliance with security baselines, disk encryption, firewall rules, and attack surface reduction.

Identity & Access

· Administer Entra ID (Azure AD) including group management and app registrations.

· Support Zero Trust principles for secure access to internal resources.

Virtualization & OS Deployment

· Configure and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.

· Lead migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 using Autopilot provisioning.

Automation & Scripting

· Develop and deploy PowerShell scripts for device configuration and automation.

· Package applications and updates for deployment via Intune.

Operational Support

· Monitor and resolve Topdesk tickets.

· Provide second-line support to the Service Desk.

· Collaborate on onboarding new applications, assessing feasibility and integration.

Strategic Contribution

· Stay current with modern workplace trends and Microsoft ecosystem updates.

· Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate new technologies.

· Contribute to workplace modernization strategies.

Our offer

This role offers a salary of around 90K gross per year (including 8% holiday allowance). This is for 40 hours working week and varies according to your experience.

Required Skills & Experience:

· Strong understanding of cloud technologies, especially Azure and Intune.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Purview for data governance and compliance.

· Experience with virtual desktop environments (Azure Virtual Desktop preferred).

· Hands-on experience with AV technologies (e.g., Teams Rooms, Logitech, Poly, Crestron).

· Knowledge of identity and access management, device management, and endpoint security.

· Strong scripting skills (PowerShell preferred).

· Experience with Microsoft 365 suite and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint) would be an advantage.

· Experience with ITIL processes and ticketing systems (e.g., Topdesk).

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

· A proactive mindset and eagerness to innovate.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-700, MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300, MD-102)

· Experience in enterprise environments with hybrid or remote work setups.

· At least 5 years in IT support, systems engineering, or workplace transformation projects.

· Experience with AV room design and integration in corporate environments.

· Experience with Microsoft Defender, SCCM, and Autopilot.

· Knowledge of networking fundamentals and VPN solutions.

· Understanding of Unified Communications and Microsoft Teams Rooms.

· Fluency in English (written and spoken).
