Lead Electrical Engineer
Software Engineering, Other Engineering
As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple brownfield projects within industrial environments. A significant part of your role will focus on the replacement, modification, and upgrade of Low Voltage (LV) switchgear, power distribution systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
You will act as both a technical authority and a hands-on engineering lead, supporting projects throughout the entire lifecycle from concept development and detailed engineering through construction, commissioning, and handover. Working closely with project managers, operations teams, contractors, and vendors, you will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution within live production environments.
In addition to project responsibilities, you will lead and mentor a team of Electrical Engineers and work closely with the Lead Instrumentation Engineer to manage the E&I department. Together, you will oversee Electrical, Instrumentation, E&I Engineering, and Design activities while ensuring alignment with project objectives, technical standards, and client requirements.
Key responsibilities include developing and reviewing engineering deliverables, performing technical assessments of existing installations, coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces, supporting procurement activities, conducting design reviews, and providing technical guidance during commissioning and start-up phases. You will play a crucial role in ensuring electrical systems are designed, implemented, and maintained according to industry standards and best practices.
