Join Principal Directorate (PD) Communication at the EPO
PD Communication is at the forefront of corporate communication for the EPO, driving strategic events that shape and protect our corporate culture, reputation and brand. Our work is instrumental in achieving the EPO’s strategic goals, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders through multiple channels.
Led by a Principal Director, PD Communication consists of two directorates: Content Creation and Channel Management, along with a visual communications team. We are currently seeking a talented video producer /multimedia expert to join our visual communications team, reporting directly to the team leader.
With us you will:
- contribute to EPO events with your video production skills, which include onsite filming and editing
- co-ordinate external video production companies and consultants
- oversee the production of both online and on-site events, including direction and supervision of the run-down
- develop new audiovisual concepts and improve existing formats (including social media)
- create new event concepts aligned with the EPO’s style and branding to improve existing formats
- co-ordinate and supervise technical support for live-stream communication
- manage asset management
- maintain existing AV equipment in the EPO’s inhouse studio
- handle photography and retouching
- perform any other relevant duties associated with video production, events and related topics
Apply if you have:
- a minimum of five years of professional experience in producing events and videos (please provide references)
- proven experience in organising and co-ordinating video productions and/or online events (please provide references)
- creativity and vision
- the ability to conceptualise and visualise in moving images
- experience in leading external production teams
- experience and expertise in video filming and scripting
- a strong track record of producing / filming corporate videos
- proficiency in editing (Adobe Premiere)
- basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects
- photographic and retouching skills
- strong organisational skills
- very good English language skills

Our minimum requirements for this post
- Diploma of completed studies at bachelor's level or equivalent or – in exceptional cases – equivalent professional experience.
- Working knowledge of two official languages. Alternatively, working knowledge of one official language (in such cases, the willingness to learn the missing language and to reach level B2 within a set time frame would be required) .
- Citizenship of one of the member states of the European Patent Organisation.

A reserve list may be constituted, should more candidates than required at this time be considered suitable following the selection procedure. Such reserve lists are valid for 18 months and reserve list candidates may be contacted, should a vacancy with substantially the same profile arise during that period.
