Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Communications Director to join our Europe team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in media relations, external communications, and storytelling, with a strong interest in Ecolab's purpose and our commitment to water preservation through innovation and water management. We are a European communications team with proficiency in all major European languages except for German - you will fill this gap!

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with Ecolab's purpose and showcase our commitment to preserving water resources.
Lead media relations efforts, including proactive outreach, press releases, and crisis communications, to drive positive coverage and enhance Ecolab's reputation as a sustainability leader.
Drive external stakeholder communications, fostering relationships with customers, partners, and industry influencers, emphasizing our commitment to environmental preservation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to articulate key messaging and content for various communication channels, integrating Ecolab's purpose and sustainability initiatives into storytelling efforts.
Contribute to the transformation path that we are on in becoming a more purpose-orientated and customer-centric organization with change management expertise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or other field.
Demonstrable experience in media relations, external communications, or related roles, particularly within a multinational or European context.
Proficiency in English and German, with additional European language skills considered a plus.
A genuine interest in Ecolab's purpose and a strong commitment to sustainability and water preservation initiatives.
Strategic communication ability, a talent for storytelling, and expertise in digital and traditional communication channels.
