Delft Circuits is looking for a Product Development Engineer, with experience in designing for manufacturability and prototyping, to join our product development team. In this role, you will focus on the technical aspects of product development, contributing to the design of the next generation of I/O for quantum computers.

At Delft Circuits you will join a multi-disciplinary team which is passionate about creating the future of cryogenic I/O. Our high-density flexible RF wiring will enable the field to increase qubit counts while keeping strict demands on performance.

You will play a key part in ensuring that our products meet high standards of quality and functionality while solving complex technical challenges. Your creative input will shape the future of our product line.

Key Responsibilities

· Design of new mechanical components and assemblies for operation in vacuum, cryogenic environments, and high-frequency signal applications

· Create and iterate on 3D models, ensuring designs are both functional and aesthetically optimized

· Prototype and test new design concepts to ensure quality and performance

· Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align designs with engineering, production, and quality standards

Job Requirements

· MSc or BSc in mechanical engineering or similar field

· Strong creative and mechanical design skills

· Experience designing components for various manufacturing processes, including milling, sheet metal, and additive manufacturing

· Proficiency in 3D modelling and 2D drawing for various production methods (e.g., milling, sheet metal, laser cutting, additive manufacturing)

· Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and practicality

· Eye for detail and good communication skills

Preferred Skills

· Experience in designing for manufacturability and prototyping

· Experience in design for vacuum systems, cryogenics or RF systems is a plus

· Ability to contribute to brainstorming sessions and collaborative design processes
