About us:

Damen Civil & Modular Constructions is a company withing the Damen group where we are passionate about building entire shipyards, drydocks of all sizes, a wide range of pontoons and barges, split hopper barges and any other steelworks worldwide. We are headquartered in the center of the Netherlands in Gorinchem but we service an build all over the globe. We have a diverse mix of experts in engineering, production (local and global), quality and project/product management. About you:

You have a creative and precise thought process with a strong technical affinity. You are the driving force behind our sales organization and are able to document your work with great accuracy. You are organized but thrive in a dynamic environment.

The role:

Currently we are looking a precise proposal engineer to support our product managers and the internal sales organization. Your role is to take the initial ideas from the client/organization, do the initial feasibility check and ensure that the sales price is accurate. For this you work together with different departments within C&MC and Damen to come up with the best solution for your client. Besides this you will ensure that our product is standardized together with the product manager and ensure that all sales data is up to date.

Responsibilities:

• Support in the development of new sales opportunities
• Ensure compliancy of the products with maritime law and regulations
• Delivery accurate cost prices for our products
• Assist in managing the product portfolio

Education / skills and experience:

• 5+ years of experience of cost estimation a the maritime/technical environment
• Preferred: experience with drydocks
• Affinity with concept design and software such as Autocad/Rhino/Solidworks
• Higher professional education or Bachelor in technical or maritime thinking level
• Good command of the English and Dutch language (written & verbal).
