About us

The Marketing department is based in Gorinchem and is established for the entire Damen Shipyards Group and all its divisions and endorsed brands. It's an exciting time to join our Marketing Communications team. We have ambitious plans in place and need to recruit a Junior Content Creator. As a Junior Content Creator you work with our creatives in our own in-house content factory and be part of visualizing our role in connecting the world with our passion for vessels.

The role / Key accountabilities

As our Junior Content Creator you will be responsible for:

• Executing graphic design tasks, ranging from designing banners, stationary, templates, brochures and exhibition walls to advertisements, social media posts according to the brand guidelines (offline and online assets);
• Enhancing/editing of photographs;
• Supporting the video team, handling tasks like recording videos and making edits for social media platforms;
• Storage of assets in Bynder (DAM system).

For this, you work together with a team of (senior) content creators (copywriters, videographers, photographers, graphic designers, etc.), several marketing team members and internal stakeholders. The traffic & content specialist will be your central person to provide assignments within given deadlines.

What you should be able to do:

• Consistently transform generic house style rules into corporate products (both offline and online);
• Deliver offset ready certified PDF’s to printers;
• Edit video assets in different formats for social media purpose.

Experience / Skills

• Education (MBO/HBO) in a graphic domain;
• Experience working with Mac OS, Adobe Indesign and Photoshop;
• Experience in online and offline graphic deliverables;
• Some experience in professional video editing, preferably in Apple Final Cut Pro X;
• Knowledge of DAM system (Bynder) and workflow process is a pre;
• Having skills in motion design is a pre;
• Open to learn from the senior content creators;
• You are social, representative and your enthusiasm and creativity inspires people;
• Be a team player who can work under pressure and who isn’t afraid to take responsibility and take decisions on their own;
• Have a creative mindset that can work within the boundaries of a B2B company;
• Be proficient in Dutch and English;
• Availability of 40 hours per week, at least 3 days working at the office in Gorinchem;
• Preferably already living in The Netherlands.
