Cassini Technologies develops ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical guidance devices. Our products are used by surgeons and clinics across Europe, the US, and a growing network of international distributors. With distributor partnerships expanding across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America, we are building out the clinical application function to match the pace of that growth.

About the role

This is a hands-on, field-facing role for someone with a clinical or technical background in ophthalmology who wants to grow into a specialist position in medical device applications. You will work closely with our indirect sales team, supporting training, onboarding, and clinical use of Cassini’s product portfolio — across direct customers, distributors, and events. The role involves significant travel and regular interaction with partners and customers across multiple geographies and cultures; comfort in that kind of environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver product training (on-site, remote, and at workshops) to customers, clinical staff, and distributor partners across our growing global network
  • Support distributor onboarding and ongoing enablement helping partners develop the clinical confidence to sell, demonstrate, and support Cassini devices independently
  • Provide clinical application support during system installations, evaluations, routine use, and customer-facing clinical studies
  • Represent Cassini at congresses, symposia, and clinical education events contributing to our presence and credibility
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Support on pre-sales demonstrations, new customer onboarding, and post-sales follow-up
  • Build direct relationships with end users, gather clinical feedback, and share structured insights with the team to improve training materials, product understanding and further improvements
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of Cassini’s technology, product workflows, and competitive environment over time with dedicated support to get you there

What we are looking for

  • Degree in Optometry, Biomedical Sciences, or a related healthcare or technical field
  • Experience in a customer-facing, training, or clinical support capacity
  • Foundational understanding of ophthalmic diagnostic or imaging technologies (corneal topography, biometry, or similar)
  • Exposure to anterior segment imaging, biometry, IOL planning, or operating room technologies is a plus
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in one or more additional languages is a strong advantage given our international distributor footprint
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — comfortable with both clinical audiences and distributor partners
  • Curious, structured, and self-motivated; you ask good questions and follow through
  • Comfortable with significant travel — this role involves frequent on-site visits to customers, distributors, and events across Europe, with regular travel beyond Europe as the network grows. Expect to be on the road a meaningful portion of your working time
  • Culturally adaptable and comfortable working across diverse markets — our distributor and customer base spans Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and South America, and building trust across different professional and cultural contexts is a real part of this job

What we offer

  • An opportunity to build specialist expertise in a niche, technically complex field alongside an experienced team
  • Direct exposure to surgeons, clinical teams, and distributor partners across multiple geographies
  • A collaborative, high-standards environment in a company at an important stage of commercial scale-up
  • Competitive salary and benefits in line with the Dutch market
