What You’ll Do
As a Battery Technician, you’ll play a key role in making sure our new materials work just as they should. You’ll be preparing slurries and electrodes, as well as ensuring everything meets high quality standards. You’ll work alongside other engineers to help improve our materials and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare slurries & electrodes: Mix materials for the slurries, coat and calender electrodes, and perform quality control.
Test materials, slurries & electrodes: You’ll run advanced tests on battery materials, electrodes, slurries, using different techniques like rheology, adhesion strength testing, scanning electrode microscopy, and thermal analysis
Maintain the lab: Keep our equipment running smoothly and safely – and make sure we follow the right procedures.
Conduct detailed observations & making comprehensive reports: ensure clarity, support diagnostics, maintenance, and continuous performance improvement
Collaborate with the team: Work closely with engineers and technicians to solve problems and improve processes.
Adhere to all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, loves working with new technologies, and is excited about the future of energy. If you’re curious, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with a team, you’ll fit right in.
Here’s what we’re hoping you bring:
· Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
· At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience, preferably in an industrial or lab environment, ideally related to battery materials or coatings.
· Proven expertise in performing various laboratory tests and analyses.
· Understanding of quality control methodologies, with the ability to identify deviations from standards and ensure products meet safety, performance, and reliability requirements.
· Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
· Patience in performing repetitive tasks with high precision and attention to detail.
· Team player: You enjoy working closely with others to reach a shared goal.
· A passion for sustainability and innovation – the kind of work that makes a difference.
Bonus point if you have:
· Knowledge of slurry making processes.
· Knowledge in anode coating, calendaring and characterisation.
· Dutch language skills.
