Responsibilities

C.H Robinson is seeking a Software Engineer III on our Accounts Payable- Carrier Interactions team where you will use your passion for technology and experience delivering complex software solutions to support a critical component of our business – money exchange. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating requirements, estimating tasks, designing features, and writing code that meets performance, quality, business, and security objectives. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with other engineers, product managers, architects, and stakeholders to solve complex problems, improve our software development processes and standards, and keep up with emerging technologies. Duties &Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Follow established designs and develop features and functionality to satisfy our customers, business, and engineering requirements
  • Partner with product managers, stakeholders, and architects to analyze and understand high-level requirements and their technical designs
  • Proactively seek mentorship from others and share knowledge when possible
  • Lead interactive & in-depth code reviews and utilize source control best practices to track changes
  • Define interfaces and develop code/tests for modules across products
  • Contribute to the organization’s technical patterns, standards, and best practices
  • Help define strategies for developing robust, maintainable, and tested software
  • Proactively troubleshoot applications, identify performance/availability issues, and provide effective options for resolution
  • Develop and maintain thorough technical documentation for features

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience using .NET
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with event-driven architecture and object-oriented design patterns, building and supporting high volume distributed systems
  • Ability to design and develop services with a deep understanding of HTTP based standards/protocols and service-to-service architecture
  • In-depth experience with relational and non-relational, distributed databases
  • Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast-paced, distributed environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience delivering software in an agile environment
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment practices
  • Proficiency with unit and automated testing techniques
  • Experience with data streaming architecture and frameworks (Kafka, ESB)
  • Experience with/interest in transportation, logistics, finance, or business systems

    Compensation Range

    $101,200.00 - $224,400.00
