POSITION: Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer

LOCATION: Rotterdam, Netherlands

START: ASAP

DURATION: 12 month contract (potentially renewable)

DAILY RATE: All-inclusive daily rate PAYE basis

Brunel are looking to identify a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer with experience gained on complex offshore oil & gas projects. This 12-month contract position is to work for a global leading Offshore Services Provider, and you will be office based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. (Hybrid - 3 days a week a week in the office / 2 days’ work from home).

You will design and engineer solutions that achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and sustainability, thereby contributing to the projects and organization's strategic objectives and long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the specifications, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations.
  • Proactively planning and completing activities and deliverables within agreed time frame and budget, as well as for ensuring system interfaces.
  • You ensure that your Scope of Work is delivered in accordance with both the contractual requirements and internal requirements.
  • Ensure applicable lessons learnt are used, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties, in accordance with contractual requirements and internal requirements.
  • You may be assigned as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design, procurement and manufacture of the Package.
  • You start leading engineers on assigned scope of work
  • You may act as Discipline Lead for an assigned scope of work.

Requirements

  • Engineer Diploma in relevant discipline
  • 5 to 10 years in Oil & Gas Industry
  • Significant EPC experience is required
  • Minimum 8 years of mechanical engineering background
  • Hands on responsibilities
  • Rotating and/or marine equipment experience (not static experience)
