BMS will leverage its unique capabilities, building from over 15 years of involvement in cell therapy and strategic collaborations.

The Cell Therapy Specialist is an individual contributor role responsible for achieving commercial objectives for the Cell Therapy business through excellence in account and area planning, execution and collaboration with all stakeholders to provide a seamless and differentiated patient experience. This role will serve as the main point of contact for the CAR T treatment sites and lead the development of the area-level and account-specific plans.

For this position the company seeks a highly engaged team player with strong entrepreneurial and leadership skills who can establish our CAR T therapies to be highly successful in the cellular therapy marketplace.

This position is Field based.

Key Responsibilities

Lead commercial activities and maximize CAR T value for patients, while driving cross-functional excellence and contributing to enterprise-wide goals.

・ Responsible for assessing, cultivating and managing customer relationships across a broad set of stakeholders within assigned accounts and area to ensure achievement of commercial objectives for the cellular therapy business, in alignment with company POA and KPI targets.

・ After the certification of the new treatment facility is completed, promptly initiate commercial activities to ensure early access for patients.

・ Develop and execute customized site/area-specific account plans to meet customer needs, deliver a seamless and differentiated customer experience, and contribute to broader commercial success.

・ Serve as the main point of contact for designated accounts and/or area, collaborating with cross-functional partners to create a streamlined, organized interface between account stakeholders and all field-facing colleagues.

・ Navigate complex account and area environments, understand stakeholder needs/issues at all levels, and drive solutions that support local objectives.

・ Clearly communicate updates on CART processes to facility stakeholders to ensure their understanding and to enable patients to receive treatment.

・ Collaborate and communicate regularly with cross-functional partners to support patient referrals , while identifying opportunities to scale best practices across departments.

・ Maintain and continuously develop both disease and product-specific knowledge to ensure high-impact engagement and commercial excellence.

・ Actively gain customer insights and provide timely feedback to cross-functional partners and Site Management Lead and Senior Manager regarding account business trends, therapeutic landscape changes, performance, industry issues, and business opportunities and risks.

・ Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies governing cell therapy activities, while modeling ethical leadership and operational integrity.

・ Manage area TLs and plan/implement regional meetings for CAR T treating and referring sites, ensuring timely support from supervisor and alignment with strategic commercial goals.

・ Build and foster cross-functional collaboration beyond the Site Management team, proactively engaging other departments to drive innovation, efficiency, and shared success.

・ Ensure timely reporting, communication, and consultation with the company, direct manager, and sub-leads regarding any information obtained through work activities.

Qualifications/Knowledge Required

・ Profound experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry (5+ years), with proven track record in different customer facing role(s).

・ Hematology/oncology Experience Preferred.

・ Key account management strategy - experience working in large, complex accounts, identifying influential stakeholders and working with them to better serve patients

・ Experience in managing multiple cancer center/university hospital accounts preferred.

・ Logical & strategic thinking, Leadership to drive the product/indication, planning and organizing, building positive working relationships, good communication and negotiation skill, decision making

・ Customer service oriented - quick responses, highly reliable, excellent follow up

・ Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with leadership and key cross functional partners across the internal organization in order to implement key account strategies

・ High degree of technical expertise and business acumen

・ Analytical skills necessary to identify challenges for executing key strategic imperatives.

・ Excellent written and verbal communication skills including an effective presentation style to connect with diverse groups of customers

・ Thorough understanding of JAPAN compliance guidelines

・ Ability to comprehend summaries of company product literature in English.

・ Certified Medical Representative (CMR)

Responsibilities

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
