Junior P&C Advisor

About the role

As Junior P&C Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across a broad range of People & Culture activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in HR within a dynamic and business-focused environment.

You will combine HR advisory work with operational excellence, supporting the employee lifecycle with focus on health and wellbeing (WvP), and line manager support in a diverse range of topics. You will work closely with the local team of people advisors and people relations, managers, employees and specialist teams to deliver practical, complaint and people-focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures and people-related matters. The core focus is on tracking, preparing and ensuring follow-up of absence case files in compliance with the Dutch Gatekeeper Act (Wet Verbetering Poortwachter).
  • Support absence management, reintegration, wellbeing and vitality initiatives
  • Implement global initiatives on health and wellbeing strategies locally, in partnership with the business, HSE and external resources whilst translating to local needs.
  • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly absence reports for the management team per department.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate absence administration in internal systems, in coordination with external stakeholders such as the occupational health service and UWV.
  • Support local recruitment, talent management and employee development initiatives.
  • Coordinate and process employee lifecycle activities and organisational changes.
  • Manage and maintain accurate employee data within HR systems.
  • Prepare HR reports and analyse workforce data to support business decisions.
  • Contribute to HR projects, change programmes and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support employee relations matters and works council activities where required.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and data privacy requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide excellent customer service.

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in an HR, P&C or HR Operations environment.
  • Sound knowledge of Dutch employment legislation and HR practices.
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with HR data and reporting.
  • Experience working with HR systems such as Workday, SAP or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • High level of integrity and respect for confidentiality.
