We are looking for a Senior Safety and Loss Prevention Engineer to design and deliver technical safety solutions that ensure safe, reliable, and compliant offshore oil & gas projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver safety and loss prevention engineering solutions in line with project specifications, contractual requirements, international codes, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Select and optimise engineering methods, procedures, and technical solutions within the assigned scope of work.
  • Prepare, review, and manage technical safety deliverables, calculations, studies, specifications, reports, and design documentation.
  • Work across concept development, detailed design, systems engineering, package engineering, and site engineering activities.
  • Ensure safety, reliability, operability, and sustainability are embedded throughout the design and project lifecycle.
  • Proactively plan and complete engineering activities within agreed schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines, project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and third parties.
  • Ensure the assigned scope is delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, project standards, and internal procedures.
  • Apply lessons learned and assess the impact of changes within and across project system boundaries.
  • Support vendor, subcontractor, and package-related activities from a safety and loss prevention perspective.
  • Act as Package Engineer for assigned systems or packages when required, with technical responsibility for design, procurement, and manufacturing follow-up.
  • Lead engineers on assigned scopes of work and act as Discipline Lead when required.

Requirements Senior Safety and Loss Prevention Engineer

  • Engineering degree or diploma in a relevant technical discipline.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
  • Significant offshore project experience is required.
  • Strong background in safety engineering, loss prevention, technical safety, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience with concept development, detailed design, systems engineering, package engineering, subcontracting, and site engineering.
  • Good knowledge of international codes, industry standards, regulations, and technical safety requirements for offshore projects.
  • Experience with engineering design and calculation tools relevant to safety and loss prevention engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess technical risks, interfaces, design changes, and system impacts.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, subcontractors, and third parties.
  • Able to plan, prioritise, and deliver engineering activities within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Strong understanding of safety, reliability, operability, and sustainability within complex offshore project environments.
  • Leadership potential or experience guiding engineers on assigned scopes of work.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, accurate, and comfortable working under pressure in a complex international project environment.
