Senior Buyer

We are looking for a Senior Buyer to lead the procurement of critical equipment, materials, and services for complex projects, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, strong supplier partnerships, and on-time delivery.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Develop and lead procurement strategies and purchasing plans aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms for critical equipment and services.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with project specifications and procurement policies.
• Monitor procurement activities to ensure timely delivery and cost control.
• Maintain close collaboration with project teams, category managers, and suppliers to manage risks and resolve issues.
• Provide procurement status updates and reporting to project stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior buyers within the procurement team.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of procurement experience within the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Proven experience negotiating high-value contracts and supplier agreements.
• Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supplier management, and purchasing processes.
• Experience with procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities in fast-paced project environments.
