Senior Planning Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to develop, maintain and optimise project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure the successful execution of multidisciplinary engineering and procurement projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Develop initial project schedules within contractual boundaries.
• Maintain and update schedules throughout engineering and procurement phases.
• Set up and manage progress measurement systems.
• Prepare consolidated progress charts, tables, and reports.
• Develop and maintain resource planning overviews.
• Monitor project progress and identify deviations.
• Review progress reports from subcontractors.
• Organise and lead progress review meetings.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and resource constraints.
• Proactively address risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Identify potential schedule risks and propose corrective actions.
• Support project managers with forecast analysis and timeline control.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in project planning.
• Implement best practices to enhance planning performance.
• Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Prioritise Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) aspects in daily activities.

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) in a relevant field.
• At least 6 years of experience in a similar planning role.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering and industrial projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with progress measurement systems and resource planning.
• Fluent in English. Dutch and/or German is a plus!
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proactive and structured working style.
