Do you have experience turning complex vessel requirements into buildable hull and superstructure designs? Have you delivered concept/basic structural packages for naval/offshore build or conversions?

We are looking for a Structural Engineer to turn vessel requirements into class-compliant, buildable hull and superstructure designs, from concept through basic design and into production support.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Develop concept & basic structural designs (scantlings, framing systems, bulkheads, decks, foundations).
- Perform and document global/local strength, buckling, fatigue and vibration/shock assessments (rule-based and FEA).
- Produce/review structural drawings and details (plans, sections, welds, foundations) and maintain MTO/BOM.
- Coordinate interfaces with naval architecture, piping/outfitting, E&A and HVAC; resolve penetrations and loads.
- Ensure class compliance (DNV/LR/ABS) and handle review comments and design changes.
- Deliver yard-ready designs by managing materials, welding, tolerances, erection sequence and corrosion protection.
- Support yard/shipboard inspections, conversion and NCR/root-cause follow-up as needed.
- Contribute to schedules, risks and technical reports for project management and clients.
Requirements Structural Engineer
- Degree in Naval Architecture/Offshore/Structural Engineering (or similar).
- 5+ years as a structural engineer in maritime/shipbuilding/offshore projects.
- Strong knowledge of class rules (DNV, LR, ABS) and shipyard fabrication practices.
- Proficiency with structural analysis/FEA and rule-check tools; skilled in 2D/3D CAD for structural deliverables.
- Solid grasp of materials (marine steels, aluminium/composites), fatigue, welding and corrosion protection.
- Clear communicator who can coordinate across disciplines and drive issues to closure, quality-driven and detail-oriented.
