We are looking for a Quality Excellence Engineer to lead supplier and internal audits, verify compliance with quality management standards, and drive timely corrective actions and continuous improvement across projects and yards.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and report internal, supplier, and certification audits using a risk-based approach.
- Prepare audit plans, checklists, and schedules; ensure on-time close-out of findings and corrective actions (CAPA).
- Assess compliance with the company QMS and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001/29001/80079-34) across engineering, fabrication, and commissioning scopes,
- Review and approve supplier/yard qualification dossiers and quality plans; recommend approval, conditional approval, or remediation.
- Lead/assist independent quality investigations and root-cause analyses (RCA, 5-Why, FMEA) and validate the effectiveness of actions.
- Monitor quality KPIs (nonconformities, audit closure rate, repeat issues) and procedure clear dashboards and status reports.
- Challenge and improve processes, templates, and work instructions, capture and roll out lessons learned.
- Provide quality assurance input to bids/tenders and early project proposals.
- Coach project teams and suppliers on QMS expectations; deliver awareness/training sessions.
- Liaise with document control to ensure complete, audit-ready records and traceability.
- Support HSE and regulatory compliance interfaces where quality is impacted.
- Travel to suppliers, yards, and project sites as required.
Requirements Quality Excellence Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, science, or a related quality discipline.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (or equivalent) certification is required.
- 8+ years of quality assurance experience in energy/oil & gas, EPC/EPCI, or complex manufacturing, including supplier auditing.
- Proven track record of closing audits on time and implementing effective CAPA.
- Strong knowledge of QMS and industry standards: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 29001; familiarity with ISO/IEC 80079-34 (Ex) is a plus!
- Working understanding of welding, coating, NDT, preservation, and fabrication processes (certifications a plus!).
- Skilled in RCA methods (5-Why, Ishikawa), FMEA, risk-based auditing, and data-driven reporting (Excel/Power BI or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; crisp audit reports and stakeholder engagement.
- Organised, detail-driven, and proactive; able to manage multiple audits and suppliers in parallel.
- Willingness to travel internationally to vendors/yards as needed.
