We are looking for a Naval Structural Design Engineer to turn complex vessel requirements into robust hull-structure concept and basic designs, producing key drawings and coordinating suppliers and disciplines to deliver a feasible, high-quality result.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Translate customer requirements into clear structural specifications and an aligned budget.
- Develop hull-structure concept and basic designs for new-build and modification projects.
- Produce and review construction plans, major structural integrations, modification and demolition drawings.
- Act as the central technical coordinator across disciplines (naval architecture, mechanical, E&A, outfitting) and with suppliers.
- Guard interfaces and feasibility; ensure designs are buildable, safe, and meet project constraints.
- Lead/participate in design reviews; resolve comments and manage changes.
- Maintain the technical content and documentation for assigned work packages.
- Engage suppliers to align on scope, quality, planning, and deliverables.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to methods, tools, and continuous improvement.
Requirements Naval Structural Design Engineer
- 2+ years of experience with concept and basic design of ship or offshore structures.
- Strong knowledge of hull structural principles, materials, and fabrication/yard practices.
- Proficiency in creating clear 2D/3D drawings and documentation for construction, modification, and demolition.
- Able to organise your scope within large, complex projects while keeping the overall picture.
- Excellent stakeholder skills: uncover true requirements, make balanced trade-offs, and align teams.
- Quality-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving technical challenges.
