Senior/Medior Offshore Installation Engineer

We are looking for a Senior/Medior Offshore Installation Engineer to develop and implement engineering solutions for the safe transport, installation, and removal of large offshore structures, guiding projects from concept design through offshore execution.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Analyse and prepare project specifications for offshore transportation and installation operations, including yard preparations, load-out, barge transfer, and tow operations.
• Perform design calculations and compile detailed heavy-lift design reports within defined scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop procedures and manuals for load-out, transfer, mooring, towing, installation, and transportation activities.
• Interface with multidisciplinary stakeholders (project teams, vessel crews, clients, subcontractors, certification authorities, and marine warranty surveyors) to define efficient, cost-effective solutions.
• Innovate new heavy-lift methodologies and contribute ideas for advancing offshore wind installation and energy-transition goals.
• Stay current on specialised lifting equipment and installation techniques.
• Conduct FEED and feasibility studies to identify optimal single-lift solutions for topsides and jackets (>5,000 tonnes).
• Draft method statements and execution plans for commercial bids on new projects.
• Design lifting gear, such as spreader bars, rigging, pad eyes, and internal/external lifting tools, to meet project requirements.
• Inspect platforms at fabrication yards to verify structural condition and assess installation feasibility.
• Prepare factory acceptance tests (FAT) and commissioning procedures for project equipment.
• Provide on-site engineering support during yard and offshore execution phases.

• BSc degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Maritime Engineering, or a closely related field.
• For Medior roles: 4-6 years of relevant heavy-lift or offshore engineering experience; for Senior roles: 7+ years.
• Affinity with offshore renewables and/or marine environments preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work offshore as project demands require.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong interest in the renewable energy sector and the energy transition.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• Self-starter with creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
