Job Description

The Workforce Support Team Lead will perform the role, and lead a team of specialists who provide day to day HR workforce support to a primary set of sites/countries. This role will engage with employees and leaders directly to coach, and assist with issue resolution. This team leader will build relationships across the workforce support teams, with the HR business partners and talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards centers of excellence (COE’s) and with the leaders in their site group/region. Reporting to the regional GWO Hub Leader, this individual will be a key leader within the EMEA GWO team.

Main Tasks:

  • Leads a team of workforce support specialists. Ensures strong performance and capability within the team. Gives timely coaching and feedback.

  • Manage the team’s overall objectives, workload, training, hiring and development. They will be actively engaged in understanding the team’s portfolio of work, and will engage the Hub Leader in higher complexity cases

  • Work closely with the other teams in GWO to ensure that employee inquiries and issues are resolved in a timely, customer-oriented, and comprehensive way.

  • Partner closely with the HRBPs for the region, ensuring critical information is shared in order to create the best possible employee relations and talent strategies.

  • Use data to maintain, develop, recommend, implement and improve workforce support objectives, policies, and procedures.

  • Become an expert and an advocate for digital process redesign and using technology to improve both HR and employee experience. Thoroughly understands the HR toolset and how to maximize the value and effectiveness in our Workforce Support processes.

  • Drive the acceleration of standardization and harmonization initiatives across all business units. A laser focus on efficiency, effectiveness and experience.

  • Communicates directly with employees and managers regularly regarding escalated/elevated workforce support concerns. Support workforce support specialists in elevated/difficult situations and provide guidance and recommendations for resolution of issues.

  • Directly partners with legal and the Country Lead as needed on matters requiring consultation.

  • Assists managers and supervisors in understanding and implementing company policies related to performance, discipline, and related topics.

  • Ensures compliance with human resource policies and procedures within the team.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Study in HR Management or a related field preferred, and previous HR field-level experience required

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, functional leaders, and other stakeholders.

  • Solid understanding of human resources and labour relations principles, practices, and procedures with a focus on the Netherlands.

  • Experience in leading a high-performing and diverse team.

  • Digital fluency.

  • Solid working understanding of statistical concepts and methods of data collection and comprehensive reporting

  • Ability to simplify and prioritise work in accordance with our HR service delivery model

  • The role will require occasional travel to various sites across the region

  • Communicate & motivate - excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • English fluency is required
