Job Description

Avery Dennison is looking for a proactive and experienced Marketing Events & Operations Specialist to join its dynamic and fast-paced Label and Packaging Materials business. This is a fixed-term, six-month contract to cover a maternity leave, starting November 1, 2025, and ending April 30, 2026.

This role is a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for events, marketing, and operational excellence. You will not only manage the essential day-to-day operations that keep our team running smoothly, but also play a key role in elevating our overall events strategy. The ideal candidate is a proactive and creative thinker who can quickly find their way in a large organization. This person will thrive on collaborating with different departments and has the ability to take innovative ideas and bring a clear, structured approach to their execution.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and take ownership, acting as a strong partner to the creative team and helping to shape the future of our events.

Key responsibilities

  • Events management: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of exhibitions and speaking opportunities. This includes project management, planning, coordinating all logistics (people, materials, vendors), and acting as the main point of contact for all event-related initiatives.

  • Operational excellence: Manage the team’s finances by tracking budgets, forecasting, and processing purchase orders. You will also oversee vendor setups, NDAs, contracts, and assist with payment inquiries.

  • Content production coordination: Coordinate print production runs and photoshoots, ensuring seamless logistics for people and materials.

  • Platform management: Oversee key MarCom platforms, including our internal webshop, image library, and project management tool (Trello), ensuring consistent use across the team and suggesting continuous improvements.

  • Team support: Coordinate team meetings, and provide support for new colleague onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a marketing, events, or project management role, preferably within a corporate or agency setting.

  • Proven experience in managing multiple detailed projects simultaneously with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

  • A strategic mindset with a track record of identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing new processes.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Culturally empathetic team player with excellent relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency with digital tools, including Google Suite and asset management systems.
