Avery Dennison is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Indirect Procurement Intern to join our team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within a global organization. The successful candidate will work closely with category managers, supporting various aspects of the indirect procurement process, including RFX activities, spend analysis, and contract management.
Spend Analysis and Reporting:
- Generate and maintain spend reports and market intelligence
- Create and manage dashboards to visualize key procurement metrics
- Analyze spend data to identify cost savings opportunities
Contract Negotiation and Management Support:
- Support category managers with contract negotiation, contract workflows, including document preparation and review
- Maintain contract documentation and repositories
- Assist in tracking contract renewals and expirations
General Support:
- Provide administrative support to the indirect procurement team
- Create PO in Ariba system for the central team
- Maintain the intern onboarding documents and ensure the transition to new intern
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives
The preferred start dates are July 14th, 2025. The ideal candidate is available 4 to 5 days a week for 6 months. The location of the position is our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest. The internship can be done remotely for up to 3 days per week.
Qualifications
What kind of candidate are we looking for?
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or the Google Suite, particularly Excel/Sheets (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Experience with data visualization tools is a plus (Looker Studio, Power BI, etc.)
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills
- A strong interest in procurement and supply chain management
- Able to embrace challenges and performs effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Open and motivated to learn in a diverse and international environment
