Maersk E-Commerce Europe delivers a seamless, end-to-end parcel service, integrating fulfillment, sorting, linehaul, customs clearance, returns, and a wide selection of carefully chosen last-mile carriers across all European markets. With every parcel shipped through Maersk, our customers benefit from the best combination of service level, transit time, and price, providing them with competitive access to every zip code in Europe through a single integration with us. We have released our new (global) e-commerce platform earlier this year and have started to onboard many new customers on intra-European and international trade lanes to/from China and USA. Business development and growth with existing and new customers is pivotal in the success of our strategy.
Position Overview
As the Regional Head of Maersk E-Commerce Business Development, Pricing & Customer Experience in Europe, you will play a key role in shaping and executing our e-commerce strategy. This position leads the combined Business Development, Pricing, and Customer Experience function for Maersk E-Commerce Europe, guiding a team of 6 direct reports and approximately 20 indirect reports of Customer Experience specialists and Customer Experience agents. The role brings product expertise to our customers and our sales organization, oversees pricing governance, and has full responsibility for sales pipeline management. You will be accountable for revenue growth and customer retention for Maersk E-Commerce in Europe. Collaboration spans Sales and Product teams, Platform and Technology teams, Operations, and external customer stakeholders. As part of the Regional Maersk E-Commerce management team, this position reports directly to the Regional Head of Maersk E-Commerce.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with Maersk E-Commerce goals and objectives in Europe.
Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and our sales teams, ensuring consistent performance, service delivery, and growth.
Performance Management: Monitor and analyze the sales pipeline and commercial performance, driving improvements to accelerate growth and profitability.
Team Leadership: Support, guide, and mentor business development, pricing, and Customer Experience professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Customer Experience Leadership: Lead the Customer Experience function for Maersk E-Commerce Europe by bringing Customer Experience specialists, agents, and the Customer Experience manager under the Business Development/Pricing/Customer Experience umbrella.
Integrate growth, pricing discipline, and day-to-day customer care to drive both retention and expansion.
Translate voice-of-customer insights into product and pricing improvements; embed Customer Experience Key Performance Indicators (e.g., Net Promoter Score, Service Level Agreement / On Time In Full adherence, first-contact resolution, claims & returns) into the commercial operating rhythm.
Ensure close collaboration across Product, Operations, and Platform/Technology on onboarding, exception management, and service recovery; champion the voice of the customer in roadmaps and Quarterly Business Reviews.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in business development for logistics or supply chain management, with a strong focus on e-commerce.
Demonstrated success in driving growth through sales pipeline management and customer onboarding.
Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with customers.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and performance improvement.
In-depth knowledge of the European e-commerce landscape.
Ability to work effectively across different cultures and time zones, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
