This position is accountable for control and monitor the continuous improvement of the following activities:
1.Project Management – Time spent 30%
Execute project work plans
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project
Prepare project deliverables
Effectively applies & enforces methodology, policy and standards.
Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
Identify and escalate project risks and issues accurately and on a timely basis.
2. Business Applications Development / Support - Time spent 40%
Liaison with vendors/associated teams involved with application/technology development
To document & deliver application/technology modules, functions, applications according to Functional Business and/or Technical Specifications
To effectively resolve and close support ticket(s) on a timely basis.
Provide quality service to end users in needs analysis, solution recommendation, training, etc
Ensure information / reports are provided on time and accurately.
3. Business Communication - Time spent 15%
Establish both formal and informal channels in understanding businesses needs and challenges
4. Organization & People Management - Time spent 15%
Oversee the performance management, mentoring, and career development of assigned IT staff.
Responsible for development, motivation and retention of assigned IT staff.
Conduct refreshment courses and super user trainings to business to upkeep business knowledge on Maersk system.
Key Responsibilities:
To perform application specification, documentation, development, testing and deployment.
• To support team and lead role in application or technology development or enhancements.
To convert user requirements into detailed functional business requirement specifications (FBR), interface specifications or system configuration specifications.
To Lead technical testing on development or technical upgrade before deployment for UAT.
To be subject experts of certain system functionality and provide solutions / recommendations to team manager upon request.
To lead system analysts in performing the assigned tasks.
Perform training for super users, IT colleagues (cross-team training) and newcomers.
To maintain a high-performance team.
We are looking for:
At least 5 years working experience of similar position a team of direct report of 1 or above.
Demonstrated potential to lead diverse teams of professional peers, consultants and contractors
At least 2 year project management experiences.
Demonstrated solid track record of successfully delivering large, complex project, preferably in a multiple-vendor environments would be an advantage.
Demonstrated solid track record of successfully delivering project in Distribution or Logistic or Manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
With similar engagement experience in functional / technical architecture design of ERP, IDCMS, DCMS, TMS or other Supply Chain Application, etc.
Business Process Reengineering (BPR) project engagement experience is an advantage
IT consulting or IT vendor background is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to communicate IT challenges & opportunities effectively to all levels, including top management (CEO, COO, CIO level)
Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members & work with minimal supervision

Demonstrated ability to learn quickly through self-study methods
