Service Fulfilment Marine Execution Manager

In this role, you manage the marine operations execution team (based in Rotterdam and Algeciras) in charge of lifting the customer experience when shipping with Maersk by ensuring hassle free and smooth vessel operations in European ports. You build a high performing team and manage, coach and provide leadership for this team working in a 24/7 set-up . This, including supervision of operations and regulatory procedures with strong focus on reliable processes where safety is the primary concern.

The position is based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Key responsibilities:

• Drive a customer-centric team which focuses on improving customer satisfaction through structural improvements and engagement with fleet and terminals

• Ensure the safe operation of vessels at all times, no compromise in the safety of crew and assets

• Create a cost-conscious mindset in the team, driving down cost through removal of waste in the process and optimizing operations

• Drive Employee Empowerment and Engagement

• Challenge and improve global standards, both in- and outside the cargo and marine execution process landscape

• Build a professional and constructive cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, including our customers

• Engage with business partners across the OPS community with common goal of driving business improvements

• Participate in the development of global initiatives

• Ensure internal processes are being continuously analyzed to identify possibilities for improvement and ensure full optimization of resources

Key requirements:

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the industry

• Leading with customer empathy & driving results through others

• Strong stakeholder management skills

• Independent decision making in high pressure environment

• Comfortable with digital and data
