As the Team Lead – Application Engineering, you will be at the forefront of our technology initiatives, overseeing the team to ensure seamless integration between development and operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of skilled professionals and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software delivery pipeline to enable Allseas to excel in offshore pipeline installation, heavy lift and subsea construction.

Your role

You will lead strategic initiatives within your team and build strong relationships with the other IT team leads and business stakeholders. Strategic projects include but is not limited to: SharePoint migration to online, redesigning the Allseas SQL environment, implementing the Power Platform, launching Kubernetes, explore Copilot and other AI related tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline the software delivery process.

• Collaborate with other teams within IT to optimize application architecture, support system architecture and infrastructure.

• Manage and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance.

• Implement security best practices to safeguard our systems and data.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to propose and implement innovative solutions.

• Co-develop IT departmental strategy and budget.

• Lead strategic initiatives by applying Project- and Change Management Principles.

• Build, prioritize and maintain the project backlog and ensure incidents and changes get executed timely which a high degree of quality.

What we expect from you

• Proven experience in a DevOps role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft related product like Azure DevOps, Power Platform, SharePoint and Purview.

• Proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).

• Solid understanding of automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Python, Bash).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
