Summary

In this role you will lead the Sustainability function for the Advario Group. You are therefore responsible for developing and leading Advario’s sustainability strategies and initiatives globally. As such, you will implement and steer the strategies, governance and the operating model of the function. You will do so by cooperating closely with various functions across Advario teams who will own different de-central elements and initiatives of Advario’s integrated Sustainability and ESG strategy.

In addition, you will oversee the successful daily coordination and management of relevant processes, initiatives, reporting frameworks as well as our annual Sustainability Report requirements. You will provide functional leadership for the HQ Sustainability function, currently 1 Sustainability consultant and 1 CSRD project manager, and provide disciplinary leadership on a global level on Sustainability related initiatives.

Major duties/responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee implementation of Advario’s sustainability strategy and ESG roadmap incl. targets, KPIs and roadmap planning
• Lead Sustainability function, coach, motivate and develop team member(s)
• Provide visionary leadership to drive environmental and social responsibility initiatives across the organsiation
• Coordinate and monitor implementation of de-central initiatives of the sustainability strategy and ESG roadmap
• Lead central sustainability initiatives
• Provide in-house expertise on corporate sustainability by conducting benchmarking, monitoring, and analyzing emerging trends, programs and issues to deliver best in class solution
• Manages key internal and external stakeholders and business representatives, working closely with our Communications, Commercial (including Business Development) Finance, Operations and other relevant functions
• Establish a governance framework incl. policies, processes, and tools including both de-central as well as central initiatives of the sustainability strategy and ESG roadmap
• Responsible for overseeing sustainability related risks and opportunities as well as the measurement of their financial and non-financial impacts
• Deliver a successful stainability reporting framework for internal and external stakeholder reporting purposes incl. Advario’s yearly Sustainability Report
• Support the organization to comply with the CSRD reporting requirements

Your profile:

• Master’s Degree in (Corporate) Sustainability or similar relevant discipline
• Proven track record of leading the Sustainability strategy and execution, working in an international environment with a mix of large Capex and Opex spend
• Relevant management experience (8+ years) required
• Excellent knowledge of sustainability standpoints, mega trends & standards to deliver best in class solutions
• Excellent understanding of the relevance of sustainability across different business processes and functions in a global company
• Ability to combine strong strategic and analytical mindset with ability and drive to turn strategy and ideas into action
• Excellent disciplinary leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive change, influence (senior) stakeholders across the organisation,
• Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks
• Experience with sustainability certifications and compliance is preferred
• Diplomatic skills and assertiveness
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
